About Timika, The Lioness

Hi there! I am a spirit hand-crafted by God. I am a mother of two beautiful spirits and married to my college sweetheart. I love reading books in the self-help genre and watching true life stories, bloopers, and somewhat clean comedy. In addition, I enjoy making healthier versions of traditional foods, and I am currently working on childhood favorites (Snickers, Twix), ice cream (butter pecan and black walnut), and others.

I believe everyone has a purpose to fulfill on earth, and it is through our experiences that our purpose is revealed. Greatness leaves trails, and you have greatness within you. Nothing external defines us, for we have already been defined, justified, and glorified.

My experience with sexual abuse, from ages 5-10, does not define me, nor does my experience with an absentee father, what my ancestors endured, or how others have treated me. Within us is everything we need to transform experiences for our good. You can download five of the spiritual truths that helped me find my healing path here

I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing and over 22 years of healthcare experience. I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and a Certified American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer.

Bio You Can Use For Media:

Through her speaking and writing, Timika’s mission is to increase consciousness within the world.  For years, she felt she skimmed the surface of chronic health conditions as a health coach and a nurse for over twenty years. Now, she uses the writing medium (children’s books, memoirs, poems, and screenplays) to help people remember who they are and fulfill their divine purpose. Timika is a member of the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (NAASCA) and serves as the organization’s Oregon Ambassador. In addition, she is a Cohost and one of the Talk Show Hosts of Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), NAASCA’s talk radio show. Timika shared her story of childhood sexual abuse on NAASCA’s blog talk radio in January 2019 and participated in the Darkness to Light’s  December 2020 Voices of Courage Campaign.   Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, watching biographies, comedy, and transformational movies, reading, and spending time with her husband and two children, a boy and a girl, in Tillamook, Oregon. You can find Timika’s empowering and inspirational messages on her website, medium, Twitter, and podcast.
