Children Have Work To Do

Are we teaching our children that they have greatness within them-to stand firm in the face of bullying, name calling, and anything else that undermines their greatness?
Here are some questions to ask yourself?
Am I teaching assertiveness instead of aggression?
Am I teaching patience instead of rushing?
Am I teaching compassion instead of teasing?
Am I teaching them that they have a voice instead of silencing them?
Am I teaching respect, self-control, and teamwork?
Are my children mostly seeing the worse in me or the best of me?
Children learn how to behave at home. How are you teaching your children to be true to themselves?

Breaking the Cycle: Are We Teaching Our Children About Food?

Mothers, in many cases, are the primary teachers in the home. How can we teach them about balance, portion sizes, and variety, to help reduce the number of people with preventable chronic health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease?
One way is to start small with being a student of our health, first. We cannot share what we do not know.

Who And What Are We Creating?

Good morning Spiritual Beings!
Yesterday, I heard the four-letter “b” word from a Kindergarten. He said the word twice and laughed after he said it. I later heard that a 2nd grader said the four-letter “sh” word. I know that children around the world are learning profanity at an early age. How can, we as parents, break the cycle of profanity? How can we help our children express themselves without demeaning others? As you see, the cycle of hatred continues in adulthood, if we do not address it in childhood. Hateful words are not too far from hateful actions.
