The Seeds We Plant Series #31: Fuel for the Body.

Hi there!
Nourishment for the body comes in many forms, including food and drinks, meditation, quality sleep, prayer, physical activity, self-talk, and others. With so much to do, it’s so easy to feel like we don’t have enough time to care for our bodies (the vehicles for our divine message).
Regardless of what we believe about time, our bodies will let us know when rest is needed and when we need to choose better nourishment for our bodies. But we don’t have to wait for our vehicles to break down or receive a preventative health diagnosis. We can prioritize caring for ourselves and intentionally choose life-giving activities instead of life-draining ones.
Every day is a work in progress, and we must believe that the healthy seeds we sew today will bring a wonderful harvest. Some of the activities I intentionally do for my family and myself include:
- Developing a weekly or monthly meal plan. I have specific days for omega-3 foods, grains, no eggs, beans, and healthy substitutions. I include fruits and vegetables, especially green ones, for every meal and sometimes snacks.
- Discussing balance, moderation, and food properties with my children, including my eat some now, save some for a later mantra I borrowed from one of my favorite childhood candies, now and later.
- Keeping a routine bedtime and awake time. The more we stick to our schedules and aim for quality sleep, the more we help our bodies do what they are here to do”Š”””Š-help us fulfill our divine purpose.
- Making time for activities, playtime, and walking. Walking in nature is one of the best activities one can do to clear the mind and move the body at the same time.
- Praying with our children several times a day. We talk about purpose, and I make time for them to do the activities they love.

The Seeds We Plant Series #30: Emotions and Feelings: The Data to Self-Enlightenment
Posted on February 22, 2024 Leave a Comment

Hi there!
Often, we want to run away from our emotions and feelings, such as anger, anxiety, fear, and the like. We deny these emotions and feelings, thinking that they define us. We must be a “bad person.” On the contrary, the growth that creeps up inside us is an opportunity to assess our internal garden. What seeds did we allow to permeate our soil? What fertilizers did we use (e.g., fear, love)? How often did we assess our soil and remove the unhealthy thoughts? Did we permit plenty of light, space, and other nourishing activities?

Healing from the Inside Out Series #1: There is No Need for Jealousy.

Hi there,
I hope all is well with you and yours! Jealousy is often a barrier to living out the fullness of our earthly journey. We get caught up in others’ lives, believing they have it better than us”Š”””Šmore gifts, talents, experiences, influence, money, and the like. And, as we compare ourselves, we limit what we can do and become and end up in this vicious cycle of feeling like we are not enough. Jealousy becomes part of our mental constructs and affects everything we do and say.
But there is another path. We can believe that our lives are unique and we are not here to compete with anyone. Every life has a role to play. Our job is to align with the blueprint inside us that knows our divine purpose.
Listen to Healing from the Inside Out: There is No Need for Jealousy as I discuss the pivotal moment that changed how I viewed my life and how to cultivate a mindset that frees you from the limiting effects of jealousy.
