The Seeds We Plant Series: Reliability

Hi there,

Does it bother you when people don’t keep their word? As an adult, do you trust others to do what they say they will do?

Reliability means more than just being trustworthy, but acting from the core of your truth. We don’t need people to show us how to be more reliable. We have the reliability seeds within us.

Our emotions and feelings (data) can help us do what is right at the right time. We know what it feels like to have people change their minds about doing something. The more we role model reliability with our children (being an open vessel, tending to our garden and ridding the weeds, replanting (repetitive reliability), and providing the proper nourishment to the life-sustaining seeds with us), the more our children will want to do the same.

It’s a good feeling when you can trust that people will keep their word. Then, you feel you can relax and know they will do what they say.

Reliability shapes our minds to expect the best in others because the best is in them. The more we focus on what is possible, the more likely the possible will happen. So, speak from the heart. Refuse to let your emotions and feelings dictate your life, and say what you mean and mean what you say.

The Seeds We Plant: Purposefulness

Hi there!

I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday! This week on Create A Generational Cycle, I talk about purposefulness. Every being has a purpose. As parents, we are spiritual guardians of our children. We are here to help them embody, nourish, and express their divine gifts. The more we help others achieve the highest version of themselves, the more we become the highest version of ourselves.

How would our world be different if we really understood and promoted purposefulness? Many people fight the barraging of divisive actions, words, opinions, and stereotypes daily. Energy in the form of intimidation of others’ gifts, greed, and sabotage continues to circle the world. Many people question their life’s meaning and purpose and wonder if they belong here. There are no mistakes. Every being has a purpose. Like our creator, we are here to express unconditional love and guide children in expressing their divine gifts. The more we help others be who they are, the more we become who we are. Purposefulness goes beyond titles. Living a life of purpose means knowing that every earthly task has divine importance.

As always, let me know your thoughts.

How can you continually plant the seed of purposefulness? Here are some thoughts:

  1. We must define and accept the definition of purposefulness.
  2. We must let purposefulness override any thoughts of divisiveness and the attraction to belittle the lives of others.
  3. We must include purposefulness in our family’s discussion.
  4. We must encourage our children to live from their hearts and do what makes them happy.
  5. We must then act as though all lives have meaning and purpose.

How can you promote purposefulness?

The Seeds We Plant Series: Perseverance

Hi there!

I hope your Sunday is off to a great start! I’ve started a new series, The Seeds We Plant, on my podcast, Create a Generational Love Cycle. As you know, our thoughts and words can play a critical role in our experience.

Our earthly journey is an opportunity to evolve into the highest version of ourselves. One of my favorite principles my mother taught me is that we can create the family we want. Through our experiences, we are to learn what to do and not to do. We pay attention to our emotions and feelings and choose to improve life for those behind us, who will lead the next generation.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in speaking that we don’t realize what we are saying or say things that can tear down others instead of build them up.

Teaching virtues to our children (loved ones) equates to building a solid foundation. Their structure helps them to withstand the passing storms of life. So, what are you teaching your children or those you love through your actions and words? Are you building with compassion, love, grace, mercy, or setting foundations based on anger, anxiety, hatred, greed, jealousy, or others?
