Many of us know what it is like to have our voices silenced. Just because we are girls, women, black, poor, nonreligious, or from the “wrong neighborhood,” does not negate the fact that we think, feel, and speak.
I am grateful for the opportunity to observe our children’s behaviors. I confirm, interrupt, and re-seed thoughts of equality, humanity, respect, and understanding.
Home is where seeds are sewn. What seeds are you sewing? How will the harvested fruit (love, hate, etc.) benefit the world?
Make this lifetime great!

We are making our way through our second book, and the first of #2021, The Power of Positive Thinking, in our Homeschooling program. I am loving the opportunity to add character-building principles and help our children see that their life has a purpose. I feel so blessed to hear their insights and to witness their reading progression.
Neither children have yet to complain about the book, such as it not being a “children’s book” or how they don’t know some of the words. We encourage their growth in learning new words by saying “sound it out” and giving them a little time to do so. We praise them for trying and successfully pronouncing words.
I chose to not limit their growth or put them in a tight-fitting box. I pay attention to their cues and my intuition and adjust their studies accordingly. I often pray that I am making the most of our homeschooling opportunity.
I have some great authors and books lined up for us, and I look forward to confirming, learning, and readjusting my foundation with them. I feel like I am not successful if my children are not successful.
Today was also another opportunity to go with the flow. Today, I was trying to find a video about Harriet Tubman, and Cayla saw an animated movie about her. I was hesitant to show it because it was 27 minutes, but Cayla and Cam watched the video as if it was an FGteev program.
Although sometimes I feel stretched in multiple places, I feel that we are all growing.
