The 3–4 minute breaks between class periods in Public Schools are not just a part of the American Rush-Rush lifestyle; they actively contribute to it and potentially harm students’ well-being.

Hi there,

As we gear up for the new school year, I hope you had a fantastic summer filled with relaxation and self-reflection.

I started this season by talking about school breaks and their role in feeding the rush-rush American lifestyle. I didn’t learn about the limited breaks between class periods until last year when my children transitioned for a short time from online public school to brick and mortar. The whole experience was truly a culture shock for my then-6th grader. Students had four minutes to get things out of their locker/return things, go to the bathroom, wash their hands, drink water, and maybe even pop a snack in their mouth.

But, my son rarely made time for the bathroom, given the limited break period. At the time, I couldn’t help but see another spoke in the cycle of pain and was astonished that it was coming from the school, where many children spend most of their days for nine months or longer.

What health habits are our children sacrificing to align with limited breaks between class periods?

Until we address the root cause, and I mean consistently as needed, sprouts will continue to grow.

Listen more to my thoughts on limited breaks and feeding the generational cycle of pain from fast foods, chronic health conditions, and mental distress. As always, I would love to hear your take.

The Perception Hub and Breaking the Generational Cycle of Pain

Hi there,

In my podcast, The Perception Hub and Breaking the Generational Cycle of Pain, I discuss some of the spokes in the cycle of pain and what they all have in common. We can change what’s not working through an honest assessment of ourselves. We can dismantle the thoughts that hinder individual freedom and divine expression by addressing individual consciousness.

You can check out my podcast here, and as always, let me know your thoughts.

Heal from the Inside Out #13: Removing the Weeds of Regret

Hi,

I know how it feels to want a do-over and face the realization that what happened happened. Like many, I’ve experienced regret as a child, daughter, parent, spouse, business owner, employee, and more. Ruminating about regretful actions and thoughts can leave you stuck in a big black, endless tunnel, believing you will never get out or have an abundant life (emotionally, mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually).

But regret is an opportunity to view your experiences from a healthy perspective, to express compassion, kindness, love, and other virtues to yourself and others. Regret exposes the expectations you had placed on yourself and others.

As you dig deeper into understanding the reasons for regret, you find your way out of your dark tunnel. You begin to search for the truth and not others’ opinions. You know that no experience defines you. You have an opportunity to share your wisdom and to take the lessons to your next spiritual level. In addition, you know that the more you regret something, the more you attract regret. So, you change your magnet status and navigation to a higher frequency of love and self-forgiveness. You do better next time because you know better.

The more you use what you learn, the more you set your mindset to learning, and learning from life is one way to starve the weeds of regret.

Let me know your thoughts. Please feel free to share how you deal with regret.
