The Seeds We Plant Series #30: Emotions and Feelings: The Data to Self-Enlightenment

Hi there!

Often, we want to run away from our emotions and feelings, such as anger, anxiety, fear, and the like. We deny these emotions and feelings, thinking that they define us. We must be a “bad person.” On the contrary, the growth that creeps up inside us is an opportunity to assess our internal garden. What seeds did we allow to permeate our soil? What fertilizers did we use (e.g., fear, love)? How often did we assess our soil and remove the unhealthy thoughts? Did we permit plenty of light, space, and other nourishing activities?

Healing from the Inside Out Series #1: There is No Need for Jealousy.

Hi there,

I hope all is well with you and yours! Jealousy is often a barrier to living out the fullness of our earthly journey. We get caught up in others’ lives, believing they have it better than us”Š”””Šmore gifts, talents, experiences, influence, money, and the like. And, as we compare ourselves, we limit what we can do and become and end up in this vicious cycle of feeling like we are not enough. Jealousy becomes part of our mental constructs and affects everything we do and say.

But there is another path. We can believe that our lives are unique and we are not here to compete with anyone. Every life has a role to play. Our job is to align with the blueprint inside us that knows our divine purpose.

Listen to Healing from the Inside Out: There is No Need for Jealousy as I discuss the pivotal moment that changed how I viewed my life and how to cultivate a mindset that frees you from the limiting effects of jealousy.

The Seeds We Plant Series #29: When You Love Someone, You Don’t Put Them in a Bad Environment

Hi there,

Happy Valentine’s Day to you!

Recently, I watched a YouTube video in which Brian Tracy was a guest, and during his talk, he mentioned how we end up thinking, speaking, and acting like people in our environment. I’ve often written about how an environment can impact our character, especially in raising children. Creating a generational cycle of love involves paying attention to the environments we put ourselves in. Today’s podcast, The Seeds We Plant Series #29, on Create a Generational Love Cycle, centers around something my son said back in November 2023. He said, “When you love someone, you don’t put them in a bad environment.”

Unbeknownst to me, the steps I took in advocating, providing, and securing a quality education became the standards my children used to evaluate their recent public school experience. The standards we set will be our children’s navigation tools throughout their earthly journey. Our beliefs affect our relationships (parenting, employment, significant others/spouses, etc.) Bullying type behavior in any form, domestic, elderly, and other forms of abuse didn’t and don’t happen overnight. Beliefs about ourselves and others play a major role in how we behave and allow others to treat us.

Since returning to online education, I’ve watched my children take control of their education. They write their own notes and work through their educational experiences themselves as much as possible. Both of them help each other understand concepts. They have the balance, flexibility, and freedom to learn in a healthy and safe environment. My children are more confident in knowing they can change a limiting environment to one that is thriving.

This podcast is more than about changing a school environment. As parents, we set the standard for what our children will tolerate, their response, and knowing that they have options and not just see limitations or “This is just the way things are.” With one experience, we can empower, enlighten, and awaken our children. In addition, what we do for them, we end up doing for ourselves.
