Being a mother-From “Mother’s words of wisdom. From my heart to yours. Building within”

Being a mother
Being a mother is important to me,
It is now part of my destiny.
Addressing my child’s and my own fears,
Wiping away the many tears,
Being a mother is important to me.
I learn so much from you and me.
How can I be the best mother you see?
Giving you all the tools to grow,
As you become more conscious of the life you now know,
You are my son and not just for show.
How can I look you in your eyes and not be who I am supposed to be?
Being a mother is important to me.
I must be conscious of my activities.
I cannot be there to protect you from all your falls.
I hope that you take the time to learn from them all.
To stand firm in the mist of adversity,
Do strive to be in the driver’s seat of your destiny.
Do not live in another’s misery.
Being a mother is important to me.
Be proud of who you are,
There is none other like you by far.
You were made beautifully,
Being true to who you are is important to me,
Know that I will be here as much as I can,
To lift you up when you need a hand,
I love you so much, my son
Our journey through life together has just begun.
Self Esteem

Self Esteem
I am self esteem
Can you see me, hear me,
Or taste me?
I am self esteem
Where do you find me?
I am self esteem
I am with you 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
Taking in all the internal and external information
That could help or hurt me.
I am self esteem
I need your help to protect me.
I help you realize your authenticity
Your dreams and fantasies…….
I am self esteem
Are you paying attention to me?
Release all of your negative feelings
About yourself and replace them with positive ones
Focus on the present
and realize the many possibilities.
I am self esteem
Protect me to help bring about happiness.
I am self esteem
I am you.
We are one and not two.
A Poem: Freedom from Apology

Freedom from Apology
I am going to be the best
That I can be
With or without an apology.
I am worthy and deserve respect
There is no one who can deny that fact.
I release my anger, fear, guilt
Resentment, shame, and tension.
After all that I have been through,
They deserve to be mentioned.
I let go of the pain,
Mental and spiritual
It can weigh me down
Til there is no more physical
I forgive all of the perceived wrongs
Done to me,
I have to let them go and set myself free
Because I am going to be
The best that I can be
With or without an apology.
