Mope: when to stop?

<a href="https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/mope/">Mope</a>

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

~Robert Breault

When is it time to mope?

There are times when I do want to mope…when my thinking is not clear, or when things do not quite go the way I want.  However, when I look back on the times that I have moped, I feel like that my time could have been spent more productively.  There are no regrets, though.  We are here to evolve.  There are alternatives to moping such as:

  1. Making time for yourself. Do what you need to do to have some peace and quiet.
  2. Self-reflection- Why are you moping? What are you sad about?  What can you learn from the situation?  What would you do differently?
  3. See the positive side of things. I soon realize that things could have been worse.  What are you grateful for?  One thing I am usually grateful for is the fact that I am still alive.
  4. Learn from the situation. Make a mental note of what to do next time.

Every step of our journey counts.  We never know when our time on earth will come to an end.  So, I am learning more each day to spend my time wisely and to live my life the best way I know how.

All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ovation…for you!

If you have not done it already today, stand up and give a thunderous ovation for yourself. For what, you might ask?

     1.  For staying on your journey through    ups and downs-disappointments, distractions, etc. You have not given up on yourself, and why should you?

  1. For believing in yourself –your life, your gifts, talents, and experiences. You know that you were put here for a reason. There is no one like you, and there never will be. You are unique and beautifully made, period.
  2. For being the best person you know how to be. No time for regrets, shame, or belittling yourself. Your story is your journey. Your story is what makes you phenomenal and powerful.
  3. For dreaming and having visions for your life…for your family. Even if you think you are the only one who believes in your possibilities, please continue to believe. Some people like to see results before they believe in something. Also, others may not see your vision……The test is for you to have faith and not concern yourself so much with what others think.
  4. For preparing for another great year…..even better than 2016.

I am sure you can find something now to be thankful for. It does not have to be huge or proper.  You may just be thankful that you made it home tonight!

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” Melody Beattie

Enthusiasm: Gratitude

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm about life is what keeps me going in the mist of growing pains. I am so thankful for life and the opportunities to be the best that I can be.

I believe that we all have missions here on earth. We are here to serve each other, and it is easy to become distracted by all the drama. However, it takes great character, integrity, and moral/ethical strength to look past all the drama and see the similarities that we all have and not focus so much on the differences. Yes. we are all unique, and that is one out of a million plus things that makes life so interesting.

You never know how long you will be here on earth.
