Truth: Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman Case
We have probably all heard the saying that “the truth will set you free.” My mother would say it a lot when growing up. “It is, what it is”, as my husband will say. Truth, I believe, should be what we all seek. This is what I hope for in the Trayvon & Zimmerman case…..not what should be done, but what was done…..Lies versus truth.

I believe that we all have access to the truth. Our role in the truth is to acknowledge it, seek it, and act on it. Truth cuts through what we desire/want, our emotions, our feelings, our prejudices, and our beliefs. In seeking truth, we become more familiar with who we are and what we have become given life’s experiences. When you tell lies, whether to cover someone or to make yourself look good, you are getting farther from who you truly are, and before long, you may have seen it or experience it yourself, but the lies can lead to a miserable experience or life….even death in certain instances. Lies take you in another direction that you maybe blinded to in the beginning Likewise, when you tell the truth, doors open (and may close ); however, it is a learning lesson….to may even teach you to respect others..and what is intolerable by some. There are many recent cases to stand to this, including the Paula Deen case
I was telling the gas company, after hearing so many different stories of who is responsible for a certain act…”I just want the truth, so that I can do what is necessary (do my part, in other words)”. Lies delay what needs to be and should be done and is time-consuming.
