Hi there,

Welcome to another day to align with the highest version of yourself!

Research shows that most cardiac events happen on Mondays. But, if you have been watching my Facebook Live, part of my Facebook group Fulfill Your Divine Purpose, or reading my posts (e.g. Twitter, YouTube, and others), this phrase does not surprise you.

“You do not have to be a statistic.”

Many factors contribute to cardiac these cardiac events, including pending work deadlines and the stress of commuting to work. However, there are some underlying reasons that can also increase work-related stress.

There may be some of us who are:

  1. Living out our parents or grandparents successful or unsuccessful dream,
  2. Working a job just to make ends meet, but unable to fully express our gifts and talents,
  3. In a career because a career assessment revealed you should be working in a certain field,
  4. in a job to prove something to others,
  5. Living out traditional expectations–get a job, keep it, provide for your family, and then retire…….

The job/career may be different, but the common underlying reason is emotional dis-harmony due to lack of autehenticity. You may not be aligned with your true purpose.

All of us have something powerfully unique within us–seeds of greatness in our own way. We have abilities, gifts, and talents we are invited to embrace, nourish, and express on Earth. I’m not talking about financial fulfillment. I’m talking about spiritual success.

We are here to serve others–an extension of our Creator’s love for humankind. Our heart’s desires will always be there and so is that occasional pull and whisper that we will never be satisfied until we accept the true expression of ourselves.

To cultivate authenticity, we must “get to the heart of the matter.” Why am I stressed about going to work on Monday? Why do I feel like I can’t be successful doing what I love?

This week, I gave my Notes on Life: Empowering You to Be You subscribers five questions to consider. One of them is:

What emotions consistently arise before, during, and after work?

How do you feel when you walk through the doors of where you work? I remember my whole facial expression changed as soon as I entered the breezeway of where I worked umteen years ago. Although I was and still am very grateful for the opportunity, I knew I did not belong there.

Change does not always come over night. But when we start turning inward to reflect on our life–when we answer the call our our purpose, we can believe that some day we will awaken and do exactly what we are here to do.

Our bodies are the vehicles for our purpose. They know what we are here to do and often send us signals when we are misaligned.

This week, let’s spend some time paying attention to what our bodies are telling us. Heart conditions are preventative, and they are not just grounded in what we eat. A risk factor is not a fact or absolute. We only get one original heart from our Creator, and it is our responsibility to take care of it.

I remember watching a documentary of Sidney Pottier several years ago and hearing him say that he had finally found what he was put here to do.

We can all utter those words.

If you are wondering if that’s possible, I believe that anything is possible.

And from what I have experienced, both “good” and “bad”, whatever I believed often came true.

So, if you can have the life you desired that does not oppose another (another topic for another day), then why not? Why not believe that you can have the life you desire? That you don’t have to be stressed out and make a great living?

Next week, we will look at our inner (beliefs) and outer boundaries (circumstances, etc) in cultivating growth, The Inner Garden style.

Make this lifetime great because you are here to do so no matter what!
