Subdued

Subdued

Subdued negative emotions and feelings have been shown to have a positive effect on our health.  Negative emotions/feelings not dealt with will leak out in your thoughts and actions at some point in your life, whether minutes, hours, days,  weeks, and/or years later.  When we do not address the root cause of our anger, jealousy, fear, bitterness, frustration, they can grow like weeds in our mind and body and spill off into our actions, whether consciously or unconsciously.  Our inability to self reflect, release, and  control our emotions can lead to violence such as bullying, domestic abuse, neglect, or even not taking care of ourselves the way we should.  .

I see negative emotions/feelings as negative energy that may cause our body to go haywire by interfering with the chemicals that are supposed to help our body stay in balance and by causing our body to produce toxins. These toxins may then cause our blood sugars to  rise or go to low, our blood pressure to go high, heart rate to skyrocket (tachycardia) or to drop (bradycardia), increase kidney stones and poor circulation because our heart and vessels are stressed beyond the body’s way to maintain balance on its own.. There is a common factor, among the many different factors that cause illnesses and diseases.  I believe stress is a common factor in rare conditions and common health conditions  (i.e. diabetes, heart disease, fibromyalgia, and different blood disorders), and it is not so much stress as it is ineffective coping or not properly dealing with stress.   In essence,  it is easy to see why not forgiving yourself and others, and holding on to negative emotions and feelings are forms of self sabotage.  We are doing harm to ourselves than we think or led to believe.

Whatever is your story, you always have a choice to be a victim or use your story to positively transform your life and the life of others.  Many have taken the path of healing and being a light in someone’s darkness.

Candle: It may only light part of your way

Candle
You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step -Martin Luther King Jr Waterloo, Ontario Submitted: Chalkthoughts

A candle may only light your first step.  Continue to believe that things will work out for your good as you pursue your journey to personal growth.  We may not see what is ahead of us, and many people who have accomplished their dreams, their calling ( Florence Nightingale, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie,  Oprah, Deepak Chopra, Michael Beckwith, Napoleon Hill, Wayne Dyer, Jack Canfield,  and many, many, many others listed in history books and those who have not been listed in history books), had their doubts, their naysayers, and moments of darkness.

Many of those individuals listed above had just a small flicker of faith to dream, to persevere, and to put in the hard work necessary to make their dreams come true.  They followed their lit candle and without seeing the whole picture or even understanding their calling, they continued on.

Trust yourself and believe you are on your journey for a reason.  The only person who may believe in you along your path may be you.  It’s not about others. It is about you and what’s in your heart…..your calling!  Some people may need to see results before they  believe in someone or something.  You, on the other hand, have faith, and faith is not about being able to see the results first.  Believing in yourself may just be the lit candle that you need to persevere  through your life’s journey.

Clumsy: I used to think I was clumsy

Clumsy

http://quotesgram.com/funny-quotes-about-being-clumsy/

I used to think I was clumsy, and I often gave into the label. I would occasionally  bump into chairs, walls, drop certain things, place things on the edge of a counter and soon hear it drop.  I have intellectually known that I needed to take my time to complete activities, and for some reason I continued to rush and try to get things done while bumping into stuff, dropping things, and sometimes misplacing things. Now, to my knowledge, I am in good health.  I could blame the kids, lack of time, or use any other excuses.  It’s me. The more conscious I became about my behavior, the more I saw it was me who was rushing trying to get things down.  Clumsiness for me happens when I do not take my time and do not plan accordingly and execute consciously.  So, I am vowing to slow down a bit more. I need to slow down, because as I have written in previous blogs, I want to live a long, happy, healthy, prosperous life.  I cannot live the life that  I want if I am putting my body in a stressful state trying to get things done.

  1. I want least 6.5 -7 hours of rest most nights of the week.  I need to be in bed my 930pm.  My biological clock is in tune with sunrise and sunset.  As night falls, my body starts shutting down.
  2. I need to stick to my plans and continue to trust my intuition.  I have made daily schedules and meal plans, but I do not use them consistently.  I need to be and feel organized.  When I am organized, I typically have a better day, and I don’t feel so drained trying to do everything.  My mother and brothers may say that I am a little bit OCD about cleaning up.  I may go a little bit overboard with the saying “take care of what you have, and you will be blessed with more.”
  3. I will no longer check my work emails after work .  We should have boundaries when it comes to work and personal life.  I have heard too many stories of people experiencing medical issues because they lack balance in their lives and do not take care of themselves like they should.
  4. l will incorporate more activities that I like to do in my life.  If I do not consistently do what I want to do …the things that make me happy, when will I?
