A review of 61 studies assessing aspects of mental health found that fruits and vegetables may help promote a positive attitude and belief in oneself to accomplish goals and decrease depressive symptoms and mental stress. 

The next time you think about passing up fruits and vegetables, think about the possible health benefits you may be passing up.
