A Transformational Approach to Goal Setting: Where the Mind Goes, the Body Follows.

Hi there!
Transformation often comes from the inside. When we identify the thoughts that keep us in bondage, stuck, or not feeling our best, we open a pathway to perfect self-expression. Identify the thoughts that lay behind the areas you feel that you are struggling in. Until you get to the root of anything, I will continue to grow. These thought seeds are like weeds that rob your being of its spiritual fruit and, therefore, the memory of who you are. Within the spiritual fruit are the virtues of our divine Creator. His seeds hold our spiritual DNA and the exact person we are to be for this lifetime.
Therefore, when we forget who we are, we forget the work we are here to do. We end up in the wrong careers, jobs, relationships, schools, and other organizations. We don’t properly care for our bodies or even see them as the vessel for the divine spirit. We overeat and undereat. We withhold proper nutrition and follow the crowd. We add spokes to the generational cycle of pain instead of addressing underlying illusions. We infect others with our harmful thoughts instead of dismantling traditions that don’t serve humanity.
When we know who we are, we desire truth and a relationship with our divine Creator. We seek balance in all that we do, and we love ourselves as God loves us. We seek to create a generational cycle of love by taking the thoughts to assess our individual consciousness because we know individual consciousness leads to collective consciousness. We aim to avoid judging ourselves and others and are more compassionate, for we know that everyone’s earthly curriculum is different, yet with a collective purpose.
Below is a table to use as a guide in clearing your heart and mind and getting to the root of the barriers that keep you stuck in achieving and sustaining optimal health.
| Action | Questions to ask |
| Lose weight | What are the thoughts that keep me overweight or at the weight I am at? How do I feel about this body I have? Do I see my body as the vehicle for my life’s work? How do I feel when I am eating food? |
| Better parent | What thoughts are directing how I parent? Is it socialization or tradition? Or both? Why do I feel I must parent this way? Am I parenting out of fear or love? |
| Eat healthier | What thoughts are behind my eating patterns? Is it the idea that men eat like kings? Or that I feel that I don’t have time to eat healthy foods. What is the role of my body? How do I feel about my body? |
| Start a business, finally. | What thoughts do you have about your ability and capability to create and maintain a successful business? |
| Turn my hobby into full-time work? | Do I believe this can be done? Do I carry thoughts that say, “I can’t make a living doing something you love? What are my thoughts about my career, work, gifts, abilities, and talents I have? |
| I’m going to become for physically active? | How do I feel about my body? Why |
| I’m going to finally leave an unhealthy relationship (e.g., job, career, | What does the relationship do for me? Is it feeding the negative emotions and feelings I have about myself? How can I feel better about myself? |
| I’m going to stop being scared, anxious, confused, shameful, resentful, etc. | Who do I feel is the master of my emotions and feelings? |
Instead of setting goals this year, search your heart and mind. What thoughts do you need to dismantle to align with the highest version of yourself?
Every day, we have an opportunity to align with the highest version of ourselves.
As always make this lifetime great because you still can!
