Healing from the Inside Out Series #6: Tradition

Hi there!

It’s common to continue traditional beliefs and behaviors because others have done it before us. We may feel obligated to fill someone else’s shoes and guilty if we don’t measure up. But, my mother often told us (and still does) that “Just because someone else did it, doesn’t mean you have to.” She also encouraged us to “Create the family you want.”

Our earthly journey is one of self-actualization. We are here to reflect the truth, the divine Intelligence that created Earth, its inhabitants, and beyond. Everyone has a divine assignment with a unique blueprint (e.g., color, religion, culture, socioeconomic status, parents, traditions, etc.) suited for our earthly curriculum. Yet, ultimately, we are here to align with the truth inside of us and represent love.

We may find ourselves speaking up for what’s right (e.g., inclusion, equality), ending unhealthy relationships, or starting companies/programs that enable and promote human dignity, freedom, individuality, integrity, and respect. The truth doesn’t seek to please others, clicks, or limit us. The truth wants us to be free.

Listen to Healing from the Inside Out Series: Tradition on Creating a Generational Love Cycle, and let me know your thoughts.

At the end of my podcast, I ask you a question that may be pivotal to your healing from the inside out.

While you are here, you can sign up for my newsletter, Notes on Life. I’m sharing my mother’s life principles and lessons pivotal to achieving overall health and wellness.

Heal from the Inside Out Series #33: Embrace Your Body's Ability to Heal Create A Generational Love Cycle With Timika S Chambers

In many ways, we expect our bodies to repair a cut or open wound, a sprain or other injury, but we doubt their ability to heal a broken heart or bring peace to emotional and mental storms that rage within us. When it comes to our emotional and mental health, have we put limitations on its ability, a power we don't quite understand? Do our beliefs, emotions, reactions, and thoughts really play a part in our bodies' ability to achieve balance? Can this balance we emit help others to achieve inner and outer harmony?
