The Seeds We Plant Series: Reliability

Hi there,

Does it bother you when people don’t keep their word? As an adult, do you trust others to do what they say they will do?

Reliability means more than just being trustworthy, but acting from the core of your truth. We don’t need people to show us how to be more reliable. We have the reliability seeds within us.

Our emotions and feelings (data) can help us do what is right at the right time. We know what it feels like to have people change their minds about doing something. The more we role model reliability with our children (being an open vessel, tending to our garden and ridding the weeds, replanting (repetitive reliability), and providing the proper nourishment to the life-sustaining seeds with us), the more our children will want to do the same.

It’s a good feeling when you can trust that people will keep their word. Then, you feel you can relax and know they will do what they say.

Reliability shapes our minds to expect the best in others because the best is in them. The more we focus on what is possible, the more likely the possible will happen. So, speak from the heart. Refuse to let your emotions and feelings dictate your life, and say what you mean and mean what you say.
